  1. There is something special about a daughter. I have two that are mostly grown. The love you feel for your girl is vibrant and strong and can be felt with every word of this post. Every one of these lessons are good lessons that will serve her well in her life.

So sweet! I hope I can teach my daughter these things too. Though she tends to teach me more than I teach her at times lol. 😀

  3. This post is everything! I teared up reading this because I have 2 little girls and I am constantly wondering if I’m teaching them the right ways and leading my example. Marli is almost 4 and we are working so hard on building her up and also teaching her that beauty isn’t about looks but about kindness, respect, helping others, and how smart she is. Thanks for sharing this post mama!

  4. Love how you broke down each thing and made it really realistic. You’re giving her both the positive side with a splash of reality even if it includes negative. But that is what will make her belief you and in you even more.

  5. I love that you prioritize God first. This is so essential in raising children. Really great advice to any parent. I just got home from a bible study where we were talking about Proverbs 31, so it was coincidental for me to see again. Thanks!

  6. I love this so much! It totally hits home as I just had a daughter! I have completely different things that I want to teach my son and my daughter, because the world treats them differently.

  7. This is the seriously the cutest thing ever. I need to do this for my son. His 1 year birthday is coming up and we are planning to have everyone write him letters he will get when he turns 18. I am so excited about it!!!

  8. Yes to all of this!! I have two girls, 2 and 4, and more than anything I want them to know and love their Savior and be confident in who He created them to be! Beautiful post!!

  9. I love this! I have two little girls, myself. I love the part about knowing why your mom said and did what she did once you became a mom. I felt the exact same way.

  10. Put God first. This reminds me of a wonderful quote by President Ezra Taft Benson: “When we put God first, all other things fall into their proper place or drop out of our lives.”
