This might have been the most fun I’ve had planning my girls birthday party! Her personality is so vibrant and lively….I knew it had to have pops of color! Plus she is a dancing queen…. so music has to be involved somehow!
This 2 year old is definitely a GEM! I came across a gem birthday party on Pinterest, and KNEW it was perfect for Harper!!
To make the hanging gems, I used gold straws and wire. It was light enough to hang easily from the ceiling. 🙂
The food! My girl is without a doubt a sweet eater! Forget the real food, forget the nutritious foods, she goes STRAIGHT to the sweets. For her birthday, we had donuts, gem cookies, cake, jewel edible candy, strawberries, and chicken fingers (because truly it is the most real food she actually likes).
As for favors, we had to go with ring pops! I mean…. why not? What kid doesn’t love a good ol’ fashioned ring pop? It was perfect! I customized the tags at vista print. Super cheap!
I also asked her grammy if she would make some of these sparkly tutus for the girls! Of course, she had it done within a few days, and they were perfect! She made the tutus to tie, so each girl would be able to wear them no matter the size.
If you know my husband, you know he is all about dressing up for the kid’s parties! We ended up customizing his and my son’s matching shirts at zazzle.com (also a SUPER cheap purchase)!
I came across a confetti company that created customized confetti (confetti bar.com). I LOVED it the minute it came in! I tossed it around on every table!
When my sweet daughter saw her party, she literally gasped and said, “ooooo….. ahhhh”. That alone made it ALL WORTH IT!
Proverbs 3:15-She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her.
