The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of different emotions in our little world. My older sister’s house flooded, the same sister gave birth to the most beautiful little girl, one of my younger sisters found out she passed all her tests to become a teacher, my son started school for the first time, my husbands grandfather ended up in the hospital, etc etc etc…. Life is a roll coaster of emotions and events that occur to lead us to our future. I’m learning everyday that I have no control of the events… I have control of trusting our Heavenly Father. I have learned more than ever to trust him… Give it all to him.
Due to the crazy couple of weeks and my son going to school this morning (which had me and him both in tears), I decided we needed to say aloha! Aloha is probably the coolest and most confusing world when interpreted in English. Goodbye and hello? Oxymoron of the century! This word couldn’t be more perfect … Aloha to the past… Aloha to the future! My son LOVES when I theme it up and play a movie on the projector (more the latter but theming it up is so much more fun). So during their nap I painted a pineapple, taped the aloha letters to the window, cracked open a coconut (which by the way… Was not easy.. Hints why the coconuts weren’t the same size), hot glued my daughters coconut bra (she was not a fan), glued some eucalyptus leaves together for Harper’s crown, and set up the table. A simple pick me up for the kids and I.
